"Desolate Divine" - The Color Morale, Album Review

The new album "Desolate Divine" is the fifth studio album of post-hardcore band The Color Morale. Released just two days ago, we've been loving it!

The album begins with the song "Lonesome Soul" which sets up the framework for the rest of the album in an excellent way. The album has a great blend of singing and screaming and merges the two in a way that only The Color Morale know how to do.

Deviating from the band's original heavy metal core sound, this album highlights the new sound they have created; the tracks "Trail Of Blood" and "Version Of Me" really emphasise this. Lyrically, "Home Bittersweet Home" is superb and musically it blends the genres excellently.

Every song on this album is as brilliant as the next. The new direction The Color Morale have taken is one that suits them wonderfully. A strong contender for next week's album of the week!

Rating: 8/10
